A union is you and your co-workers coming together as a team to make improvements at your workplace. 

Union members work together to negotiate and enforce a contract with management that guarantees the things you care about like decent raises, retirement security, affordable health care, safer workplaces, and job security. Here are some of the ways you benefit from forming or joining a union:  

A Voice On The Job: Only union members enjoy the legal right and power to have a say on the job. Members have a protected way to challenge any unfair or questionable treatment with support and representation from the IUOE. 

Better Wages: Pay rates and scheduled raises are negotiated to ensure fairness for everyone and are legally protected by a union contract. 

Better Benefits: Through collective bargaining we negotiate over and decide on schedules, vacations, workload, over-time, work standards, seniority, and hours of work that are legally protected by a union contract. Changes can only be made with member approval.
